Christopher Tillit, P.E., President/Project Manager

Christopher Tillit is the founder and principal of Premiere Lighting & Traffic, Inc. (PL&T). Chris has over 16 years of experience delivering ITS, lighting, signalization, and electrical design for all the FDOT districts, tolling authorities such as Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) and Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), and Miami-Dade County/local municipalities’ projects.

Chris is currently leading lighting efforts as consultant project manager of the District 4 SR 80 Lighting Project, which is over 18 miles of new FPL lighting, ITS design efforts on a large D3 Design-Build ITS ATMS deployment for 4 miles on SR 30, District 5 controller, MVDS, and lighting upgrades along SR 600, District 4 Plans Review Contract, and several Florida Turnpike projects.

Chris has designed intersection lighting and signalization improvements in MDC his entire career, doing over 100 signalized intersections, including over 500 signalized intersection lighting retrofits.

Guillermo

Guillermo Colmenares, Electrical Project Engineer

Guillermo Colmenares has over 6 years of combined relevant experience as Electrical Engineer and installer, mainly on multidisciplinary projects in the transportation, residential, commercial, industrial, oil, gas, and thermoelectric power generation sectors. He has experience in the calculation, design, and installation of feeders, electrical connections, short-circuit current, coordination of electrical protections, grounding systems, lighting systems, and protection against atmospheric discharges. He is fully proficient in CADD and electrical design software applications such as Microstation, FDOTConnect/ORD, AGI-32, and SKM Power Tools. He also has experience in maintenance tasks for residential and commercial electrical systems and in the installation of electrical systems in buildings under construction such as outlets and lighting systems, electrical conduit systems, fire alarm and installation of electrical panels.

David

David Miranda, E.I., Project Engineer

David Miranda serves as an electrical project engineer in our growing practice. In over two years with the company, he has developed numerous plans and reports and conducted several plan reviews. He has demonstrated proficiency in software applications such as FDOTConnect/ORD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, AGI-32, GeoPak, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and assists in all production deliverables such as plans preparation and drafting. He successfully completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Florida International University in 2019.

Greg

Gregorio Gonzalez, Chief Designer

Gregorio Gonzalez has over 35 years of experience performing design and plans production for roadway, MOT, signing & pavement markings, utilities, lighting, signalization, ITS, and electrical design for FDOT, MDX, FTE, MDC, and FPL projects. His work mix ranges from conceptual to final design, quantities preparation, and design-build support. He is thoroughly proficient in CADD and FDOT software applications such as MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, Revit, and Guidesign.
